RELEVANT CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

My pastor, Dr. Tom Mullins, was on Glenn Beck's nationally televised show this past Thursday. Dr. Mullins is not only my Pastor, but also my friend and a mentor. He and six other men discussed the state of religion in America with Glenn.

Dr. Mullins makes children's ministry a high priority at our church.

We've shifted our summer camp "philosophy" for kids. Instead of going to a camp where its all about them having fun, we are taking them on a local missions trip where they will be serving the community of Belle Glade. Belle Glade is a needy city that is about an hour away. The kids will be serving during the day and then having a service with their parents that evening followed by a sleepover.

I am excited about this shift. I believe it will help our kids grow spiritually. Anytime you get kids out of their comfort zone and serving others, it's a win. Here is a promo video we made for parents.

We have started recording the motions for worship songs so our kid's can watch and practice during the week at home. Below is an example led by two of our awesome worship leaders. Pablo is a gifted song writer and vocalist. Burcin is a professional dance instructor and leads our kid's hip hop team which is called "UpBeat."
