A Simple, Visual Illustration to Use With Parents

Each time I teach a class for parents, I use this visual illustration.
Two jars. 167 balls in one jar.  1 ball in the other jar.

There are 168 hours in a week.  The jar with one ball represents the time kids spend at church.  The jar with 167 balls represents the time kids are with their parents.  You can see who has the most influence in a child's life.

It's a visual way to remind parents that they are the primary spiritual leader for their child.  When I use this illustration, I see it click with parents.

Grab two vases and 168 balls and try it next time you teach parents.  You'll be amazed at the affect it has.
