New App Helps Kids with Autism

Children with autism can struggle at times interacting with other people.  Reading facial expressions and making eye contact are just two of the challenges they face.

A new app called "Look at Me" is a tech-based training tool that helps kids with autism gain ground in this area.  Kids can complete game-based missions designed to help them express their emotions, interpret facial expressions and work toward making eye contact.

The app was first tested by 20 children for eight weeks.  60% of the kids who participated showed improvement in making eye contact.  Here's more info. about the app.
