Selfie Leadership vs. Usie Leadership

We live in the age of "selfies."  Everyone feels the pressure to promote their own personal "brand."  But when it comes to leadership...does the selfie model work?  Or does a "usie" model work better?

Take a look at the comparisons below.  What kind of leadership are you providing?  Selfie or Usie?

Great stuff. Sadly I wished the church had more collaboration within departments. Many of the leaders in my church experience have gotten there with hard work, prayer and determination. I wouldn't say they are a selfish "selfie" but they're experience is one in a ministry silo leading volunteers not leading/collaborating with other leaders. As such in my experience these leaders reward what they understand and ignore or have a blind spot to what they do not understand. All this to say. It's great to have a visual to remind us we're on the right track in our leadership paradigm even if our current church paradigm doesn't reward or understand it.

It's a tension we all face. The urgency to build the ministry we lead with seeing the big picture of the entire church. Always ways to get better in this area for sure. Great to hear from you Matt.
