Enhancing Kids' World View

Recently a video was posted online about a 10-year-old boy from North Carolina who is colorblind.  He was born with a monochromatic color deficiency and has only been able to see shades of grey, white and black.

But then something happened that changed everything for him.  He was able to try on a pair of glasses that can correct colorblindness.

You can watch the video below and see the joy and excitement that took place when he tried on the special glasses.

As I watched the video, I was reminded of how important it is for us to help kids see and interact with the world through the eyes of Jesus.

This is crucial in the day in which we live.  There are many, many world views that are vying for the attention of the kids in your ministry.  The world's world view says man is the result of evolution.  That there is no afterlife.  Live to please yourself.  There is no God.

That's why we must equip kids with a Biblical world view.  We must prepare them to articulate and explain why they subscribe to a Biblical world view.  When kids follow a Biblical world view, they discover a world of joyful colors that gives them purpose, passion and perspective.

As you watch the video below, be reminded that God has entrusted you with helping children see the world through the eyes of Jesus.  And when they make that connection and begin walking in it, they will never be the same.
