Veronica's Story

I often remind children's ministry leaders that they will see some fruit now.  And then they will also see more fruit way down the road.

John 15:16 says, "You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name."

That's the cool thing about serving in children's ministry.  You get to see that verse become a reality as the years pass by.

And Matthew 13:8 reminds us that the fruit will multiply and produce even more fruit.  It says, "Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!"

Recently, I got a Facebook message asking if I was the Dale Hudson who served in Chicago's inner city nearly 30 years ago.  The message was from a lady named Veronica. Nearly 30 years ago, we knocked on her door and ask if she'd like to ride to church with us.  She and her siblings came to church with us and entered a relationship with Jesus.

You can see this being lived out in Veronica's life, as she now serves in children's ministry and impacts the lives of kids and families.  Here's her story in the video below.

This weekend you will minister to kids.  And you never know what God may do...now...and later.
