Volunteer Job Board (great idea to get new volunteers)

This past weekend, I was at Crossway Church in Springfield, Missouri.

They have an excellent children's ministry and are reaching hundreds of children.

They have a solid volunteer team, but like every other church in the world, they need more volunteers.

One of the things they do to keep their ministry opportunities in front of the church is to have a volunteer "job board" (you can see the picture of it here).

It is located in the main lobby of the church.  I saw people stopping to look at it.

It's a great way to keep serving opportunities in front of the church.

If you've been in children's ministry for any amount of time, you know that a solid volunteer team is vital if you want to have a thriving children's ministry.

Enlisting new volunteers can be a challenge.  One key to success is having numerous ways to enlist volunteers.  This volunteer job board would be a great tool to add to your volunteer enlistment strategy.

You can get more great ideas for enlisting new volunteers in my book "The Formula for Building Great Volunteer Teams."  The book contains the principles and ideas that I used to build a volunteer team of 2,400 people in a local church.

The book is available in paperback or ebook format at this link.
