Digital Bible

A few weeks ago at the beginning of staff meeting I asked everyone to turn their phones off. Then we started off with a devotional thought. I noticed a few people pulled their phones back out. At first, I was ticked off. But then I realized they were following along with the devotional with the digital Bible that was on their phone.

The Bible is God's Word whether it is on a page, screen, phone, or computer. When the Bible was first introduced on the printed page, some people said it wasn't God's Word because it wasn't on a scroll. I wonder if the same mentality is sometimes used today when someone says the Word of God can only be in the format of a page? I wonder if the future of God's Word is in a digital format? If so, what implications does that have for children's ministry? What do you think?
