How do you close the backdoor of your church? This has been a discussion in every church I have served in. In other words, what are things you can put in place that will help families get connected and stay part of your fellowship?
We are grappling with this as a staff right now. Guests are not a problem. We had 74 first-time families check into our children's ministry last weekend. That was an average weekend. The big question...how do help them get connected and stick? How do we help them grow and become committed? Here are some things we are doing to close the backdoor.
