"I gotta' go to the bathroom!
If you serve in Children's Ministry, you've heard those words hundreds of times. And it usually starts a chain reaction. Suddenly you have a line of kids saying "I gotta' go to the bathroom."
Sometimes it's legit and sometimes it's not. How can you tell the difference?
Years ago, someone taught me a little answer that helps you know the difference. When a child asks to go to the bathroom and you suspect they may just want a change of scenery, then do this. Ask them to wait for 5 minutes. If they really have to go, they will come back to you. If they don't, then they won't.
Try it. It works.
