Take the Details Test

Excellence is simply doing the small details well.  Take this test and see how your Children's Ministry is functioning in this area.  The good news is taking care of details is something that can be learned.  No matter what your score is you can improve if you are intentional.

As someone who would typically be bothered/frustrated if our ministry didn't score a 100%, I'd caution that we need to be careful that we don't make "perfection" our highest priority.

I wouldn't say that attention to details is seeking perfection so much as training our eyes and our minds to consider as much of our ministry as possible. If a ministry is sweating the details, then it's a good indication they care about the more important elements of ministry. Responding to messages and communicating information in a timely manner casts a lot of vision to your volunteers about how you care about them and how they should respond to others.
