Volunteer Interview Questions...Free Tool

Part of on-boarding a prospective volunteer is a personal interview.

It's important to sit down and have a conversation with every person you're considering bringing on your team.  This provides several things...
  • an opportunity to get to know them better
  • an opportunity to hear about their spiritual journey and discern where they are
  • an opportunity to ask the tough questions that need to be asked
  • an opportunity to help them begin the process of finding their serving sweet spot
Here is the guideline we follow when we are interviewing someone.  We use this to make sure everyone is asking the same questions and communicating the same things.  Feel free to download it if you'd like.

This is a great resource and has challenged me to rethink the questions we ask during our interview. Thanks for sharing. As a follow up, do you have a separate application for minors than adults?

Hey Jeremy, great to hear from you. We only have one application that we use for everyone.

Hi Dale, it is not giving me an option to download the questions. Is there another way I can get a copy of this.

You have to click on the download tab at the bottom of the page or here is the direct download link if that's not working for you. https://www.scribd.com/doc/254416943/Children-s-Ministry-Interview-Guideline

Thanks for the resources Dale. I do have to say though, the site you use to make these available for download is difficult. You have to sign up for an account, put in your credit card number, start a 14 day trial and then cancel your free trial so they don't charge you when it's done. I would encourage you to find a different way to do this.

Thanks for letting me know Jamie. That's interesting. I have a free account and have never been asked to sign up for 14 day trial. That may be something new. I'll take a look at it.
