I played basketball throughout my middle and high school years.
Thankfully, I had some great coaches along the way that helped me improve my game. Without them, I would never have upped my game.
I remember one of my coaches from my middle school years. He asked if he could give me some help with my jump shot.
Of course, I said "Yes." I wanted to get better as a player.
He shared with me that when I shot the ball, my elbow was too far out. As a result, my shots were going off to the side of the basket.
What I needed to do was to bring my elbow in and align it with the basket. This would help me make a much higher percentage of my shots. I tried it and yes, it worked. I started making a much higher percentage of my shots.
I've also had some great ministry coaches over the past 31 years in ministry. They have pushed me to new levels of leadership and have taught me how to be more effective.
You see...leadership is a journey and an investment you make in your leadership pays dividends for the rest of your ministry.
Having a ministry coach can be uncomfortable at times. It will push you out of your comfort zone. It will reveal your blind spots. It will shake up your thought patterns about ministry. It will broaden your vision and challenge you to think outside the box.
Is ministry coaching for you?
If you want to take your leadership to the next level, then "yes" it is.
If you want to spend time with Dale Hudson and other people in the program, then "yes" it is for you. Dale has helped build and lead some of the fastest growing children's ministries in the entire nation.
If you want to think outside the box, then "yes" it is for you.
If you want to see more kids and families come to Christ through your ministry, then "yes" it is for you.
The next session runs from July to December. Space is limited, so if you'd like to join us, get registered today at this link.
A coach can't play the game for you. But he/she can prepare you to play the game and set you up to win.
