Drag Queen - a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and
makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and
gender roles for entertainment purposes.
Historically, drag queens have
usually been gay men, and have been a part of gay culture.
We are living in a post-Christian culture where people are aggressively going after the next generation with a message that is in direct conflict with what God's Word teaches us.
Nowhere is this more evident than with people who are trying to indoctrinate kids with a drag queen lifestyle. Here is a prime example of this.
As ministry leaders we are called to help parents navigate through the unsettling indoctrination that is pursuing their children.
As ministry leaders we are called to help children know what God's Word says and help them become followers of Him.
Never before has it been so important to reach the next generation. If we do not prepare them for a culture that says the opposite of what God's Word says, we risk seeing them swept up by a humanistic worldview.
We must help children know what God's Word says and walk in His truth.
We are living in perilous times. Now is the time to stand up for Jesus. The darker the night, the brighter the light shines. We have the opportunity to make a difference. We have been given the privilege of partnering with parents as they lead their children spiritually.
Today's kids live in a far different world than we grew up in. Everywhere they look they see and hear messages that are not from God. Messages that are in direct contradiction to what God's Word says.
Our job?
Love kids.
Love families.
Invest in parents.
Equip parents.
Teach God's Word and principles to kids and parents.
Be courageous without being condescending.
We must also remember this...
"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens." Ephesians 6:12
Behind all of the perversion we see, we must remember that the people perpetuating this are not the problem. The problem we face is we live in a fallen world where the fallen angel, Lucifer, is hellbent on influencing the next generation to walk away from God's truth.
Let's lock arms and say, "Not on our watch! We will overcome evil with good!"
