A Secret Peek Inside The Church Tours at Children's Pastor's Conference (Pt.2)

Today I led the pre-conference church tours as part of Children's Pastor's Conference. We visited three churches in the Orlando area. We were inspired and encouraged as we saw what God is doing in these wonderful churches. Here's an inside peek at the second church we visited and the awesome space they have created for kids and families.

Children experience authentic worship, and receive sound Biblical instruction in an environment which creates a visual expression of God’s Word. The walls are wired with state of the art technology, allowing for their vision of connecting children around the world. Mural and photo walls create settings for entering Bible times – actual geographic locations of the past, present and future. This reminds the children that the Bible stories are about real people in real places who are in relationship with a real God.

Children's Director Debbie Blahnik and her team opened their doors and gave us an inside look at their ministry. Here are some pictures from the visit.

Looks cool. Kindof like Disney World. Wonder why that is the case since they are only a few miles away. Is all that necessary for the "church"? I have wrestled with this for several years now. What do we need in our kids departments, youth/student departments or ministries, adult and senior adult to get them to come to our buildings? Is that our goal to get them there? Just saying... what do yall think?

Great question Jason. I talked with the leaders and they said since they are so close to Disney the church environment they have created makes the kids feel right at home. They all have solid Bible teaching which is the foundation for ministry. Buildings are a bonus. It's definitely relationships that keeps kids, but a great building helps get them in the door for the first time. You can't build a relationship with or disciple an empty chair.

I agree. We don't have a lot of kid-friendly decor in our hallways, even though I would love to go crazy one day! :) Its about getting them in the door and making them fall in love with Jesus. That's the relationship that will keep bringing them back. And I say, if you have the resources to dress your area up, DO IT! I think its funny how we sometimes justify that we don't need all of the "extras", but we think its awesome how Jesus didn't only make sure every one of the 5000 people were fed, but there was excess! Bottom line: Families are dying, lets go get them, by any means necessary, and introduce them to the one and true answer to all of our problems: Jesus. Much love.

As I web site possessor I believe the content matter here is rattling great , appreciate it for your efforts. You should keep it up forever! Good Luck.
