Promotion Weekend Video Tool

This weekend is Promotion Weekend for us.  We promote kids to their new environment at the beginning of the summer.  Here are a few reasons why we promote at the beginning of the summer...
  • In kid's minds, they are already in the next grade.  As soon as school is out, ask them what grade they are in.  They will tell you the grade they are going INTO.
  • We want kids to have the summer to build relationships with the people in their new environment.
  • We want kids to be able to participate in the summer events and programs of their new environment.
This year we decided to make a video to let parents know about Promotion Weekend.  We sent this video to all parents via email and posted it on our parent Facebook page.

Towel Leadership

"Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under His power, and that He had come from God and was returning to God; so He got up from the meal, took off His outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around His waist.  After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him."   -John 13

The disciples were worried about titles.  

When Jesus washed the disciples' feet, He taught them that true leadership is not based on a title...it is based on a towel.  

Stop worrying about your title...just grab a towel and start serving as many people as you can.  

True leadership is servant leadership.
