Inside Look at a Great Children's Ministry in Dallas Area (Part 1) ~ RELEVANT CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

One of the best ways to get fresh ideas for your children's ministry is to visit other churches.

Last week, I was in the Dallas area doing training and consulting for two great churches.

I thought you'd benefit from getting an inside look at these ministries. So, we'll take you behind the scenes for the next couple of days.

The first church is Fielder Church in Arlington. The children's pastor there is Larry Dan Melton. He has been leading there for over 17 years. They have a great ministry that reaches hundreds of kids and parents. I visited their two campuses on Sunday morning, did a volunteer training with them on Sunday evening and met with their staff on Monday. I was especially impressed with their pre-teen area. They have the best pre-teen space I have seen anywhere. Below are some pictures of their ministry with descriptions.

Another thing I love about their children's ministry is their strategy to serve in local public schools. Throughout the school year, they do school assemblies where they teach character traits to the students. Many times they are able to use this to invite the students to church. They recently had 21 first-time guests that came to the church in one weekend as a result of a school assembly.

The church is growing and they are preparing to launch several more campuses in the Dallas metro area. They have a great team of volunteers who are passionate about reaching their community. If you are ever in the area, stop by and check out their ministry.
